Kungl. Konsthögskolan gratulerar Axel Petersén, som vann Toronto Film Festival 2011 i sektionen "Discovery" med sin långfilmsdebut Avalon (den andra tävlande är Ruben Östlund med filmen Play).

Axel Petersén står dessutom bakom en av fem svenska filmer som tävlade på Venedigs filmfestivals kortfilmssektion med filmenThe Tracks of My Tears 2, som handlar om myten kring Saddam Husseins Ferrari Testarossa.

Axel Petersén examinerade från Kungl. Konsthögskolans femåriga magisterprogram i fri konst våren 2010. En del av filmen The Tracks of My Tears 2 utgjorde hans examensarbete.

Axel Petersén is also the producer behind one of the five Swedish films that was competing in the Venice Film Festival, in the section of short films. The title of the film is "The Tracks of My Tears 2", which is about the myth around Saddam Hussein´s Ferrari Testarossa.

Axel Petersén was examined from the Royal Institute of Art´s five year master programme in fine art, spring 2010. Parts of the film "The Tracks of My Tears 2" was made for his degree show.
