Project studies in Fine Arts for professional artists is part of the Royal Institute of Art´s range of education at the advanced level.

The course aims at offering the possibility for professional artists to complete a project in an in-depth way.

During the study time the student researches and completes his/her artistic project. The tuition also involves theory studies, supervising talks and seminars. Moreover, the student can choose to follow the open lectures in Art history.

On the basis of the student´s own project aims and objectives the studies are individually designed and planned together with the supervising teacher. If needed, and within the frames of the project the student could also learn a new technique.

The project student is not entitled to a studio space but is instead provided with a space in a workshop.

The programme extends over one academic year (60  ECTS-credits) and is full-time.

Financing the studies
Foreign students who have been accepted to a study programme in Sweden must show financial means for the support during the study time, to the immigration authorities.

Fees
For students from countries outside the EU/EEA area admission- and tuition fees apply.  The tuition fee at the Royal Institute of Art is 295 500 SEK per academic year, and the admission fee is 900 SEK.
